I am a Junior in college and am studying to become a nurse. I love sports, and the outdoors. I have found a new adrenaline rush recently..skydiving and I would do it more if it didn’t cost a fortune. I have an amazing younger brother Dalton, and two parents Robin and Dana. This past summer I was an aupair in London and it was a great opportunity, and experience. I was able to be apart of a church there that feels very strongly about missions and charity work for the community and world.
I have never been on a missions trip before, so I am very excited to be apart of this yet nervous to raise all the money. I found God the summer going into seventh grade my parents sent me to Pine Brook, a Christian camp. I was really into sports growing up. My family went to church, I wouldn’t say regularly but often. I had been baptized but I myself would not look forward to those Sunday mornings when I wasn’t able to watch cartoons and lounge around. So off to Pine Brook I went at the age of 12…under the assumption it was a SPORTS camp haha. It didn’t take long to figure out not only did Pine Brook involve a lot of sports but God, ones walk and salvation. I remember sitting in my bunk bed writing a letter to my parents. The first line was something like THIS IS NOT A SPORTS CAMP..IT IS A CHRISTIAN CAMP. I was very interested in participating in the triathlon and the sports that happened during the day but the first night or two I wasn’t that interested in the singing, church, prayer and learning scripture part or the camp. As the week progressed God worked in my heart. Towards the end of the week we were in our cabin and we had just finished devotions after evening chapel and Amy my counselor told us that if any of us that were not saved and would like to accept God into our lives that we could talk to her. I talked to her. We went outside and sat on a rock..it was getting dark but the evening was perfect; we prayed together and I accepted God into my life, and he has been apart of my life ever since. I have been saved since I was 12 but I would say that in the last year or so I have felt more growth than ever before.

Autumn!
It’s nice to meet you… or something like that. This is also my first mission trip, and I’m sure you’re as excited as I am. I also grew up with the same church background, if you will the occasional sundays and/or holidays. A lot of it was due to sports; i traveled a lot for soccer on the weekends. But it’s a blessing to know God in a new light, a more intimate one, as you have also experienced. I can’t wait to meet you (in person) and I will be praying for you.
Your new friend, π
Kelsey
AUTUMN, its so great to meet you. I am moving to MASSACHUSETTS in the fall. Where are you from there? Its so great to “meet” you. Yay INDIA

Hello hello! Great to meet ya! I am pursuing Nursing too. That’s very exciting to have a fellow stressed out person. Haha. π Can’t wait to meet ya in person! Love the random facts, btw.
I’ve always wanted to skydive, but you’re right, it is so expensive!
I loved your story about accepting God at a “sports” camp. Isn’t it amazing how He can just find us sometimes when we’re not even looking for Him? I’m looking forward to getting to know you better this summer; you’re in my prayers!
I’m so glad that I’ve found someone else that has been skydiving. yeah I definitely wish I had the money to pursue it. I’d be the filmer or something so I could just go up and jump.
I was just in mass two weeks ago! I was in amherst @ umass, where do you live?
and where are your piercings? I have two sets [technically 3 sets] plus a cartilage, so just my ears.
india is so close!
Hi Autumn,
I love your Summer Camp story. God will reach you right where you are. Enjoyed your Random Facts, and the Last Person Who.
By the way, I love the #3 also!
Autumn-
The trip is coming up so quick and I’m looking forward to meeting you! Skydiving, eh? Nice! The last mission trip, one of the guys on our team was preaching and said “Living for Jesus is kind of like skydiving!” Then he asked if anyone in the crowd knew what skydiving was, and no one raised their hands! haha. Anyway, that was a random story enough. See you in about a month!
