“How I Was Called To The Mission Field”

We were asked to write a blog about how we were called to this mission trip.  here is my story

 

For some reason, what i was going to do this summer had been a pressing issue for me since early fall.  In one of my journal entries for october, i had written “pray about what im going to do with my summer” bc I knew i didnt want this to be just another summer.  I didnt want to be your average college student, and just have a mediocre(sp?) job and get through the summer as easy as posisble.  So i started praying about it. alot.  Then one day in early february i googled college summer missions and somehow God let me to this organization.  I spent about 4 hours on the website, just reading everything about every trip, and then i found the trip about India, and i was SOLD.  For some reason, when i read that we would be working with the children over there, my heart was captivated.  I immediately, without telling anyone, including my parents, applied for the oppurtunity.  India was all i could think about until i got a phone call saying that i had been accepted and that everything was working out for me to go.  I have never done anything like this before, but im really excited to give my summer to God, and not just have a “me” summer.
