How I Was Called
My story is not very exciting, nor is it very long at all. It is still being written and my calling in this field is still being discovered.
For the past two years i’ve felt a nudging in my heart for overseas missions. About two summers ago at camp my heart burst for the lost overseas, and so taking this for a possible beggining call I decided to speak to a friend of mine, Jason Driver, who is a missionary. He said to test if this is what i’m supposed to do by going on a short term mission trip. I decided that i’d take his word for it, and I prayed continually about it.
I’ve heard many good things about AIM and so I decided that this would be a good path for me to take.
I believe i’m on the right path because as i’ve gone through this process everything has flown very nicely- though support raising isn’t going very well, unfortunantly- and it has been bathed in prayer.
I’m super excited for this opportunity and whether or not in the end i’m called to further overseas missions, I know for a fact that this will be quite a worthy experiance.
Everyone i’ve known that has gone on this India trip has come back changed, and having met with God in a very real and very amazing way. I’m so excited to see what God has for me in this. But I won’t lie, i’m scared to, but no one ever said that a life following Christ was a lifetime of bliss and happiness, I know what I got into when I signed up ๐
God bless!

Heather, I can’t wait to meet you! You seem like such a kind person, and you’re right that it’s a complete step of faith to be taking this journey overseas to India! I will be praying for you and your support raising. I don’t doubt that God won’t be faithful in providing for you!
Have a blessed day ๐
Heather, I know what you mean. Support is not the easiest to raise nor is it going very well for me either. But you know what, today, in my busy busy work, the Lord told me to stop, sing praise to Him, and ask Him to be faithful in providing. That’s just what I did. It made me even more confident in my asking because scripture clearly states: “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks, it will be opened.” Luke 11:9-10
Bathe it in prayer, girl. It’s commanded we do, because God’s going to blow our socks off with the amount He’ll rake in! ๐
Driver was my leader on the trip I just finished to Kenya! That guy is an awesome Jesus-follower. Anyway, I’m really excited to meet you soon enough and look forward to the things God will show us in India!
