Well, as previously stated in my bio blog, my heart was called to go to India when I was a little girl, but I don’t think my passion was ignited until just recently. My first two summers of college, I participated in two discipleship summer programs. The first summer I was a disciple and lived in a room with three other girls, and I was discipled by a room leader through a college ministry program. The second summer I was a room leader and led three girls and taught them how to get in the Word and experience God in a more intimate way.  When I was participating in this program, I told people that I wanted to be a Missionary Surgical Nurse, but I still didn’t feel the fire. I knew it’s something I wanted to do, but I wanted it to be a deep down, in my bones, kind of desire.

My church began talking about going to Honduras this coming up summer, and there was the fire. I wanted to go! I wanted to go fast, too. But, God was saying, “Be patient. I have something else for you.” Before I left for the summer program, I stumbled upon AIM and prayed that God would truly reveal to me if it was in His plan for me to go to India. Sure enough he did, and I knew that it was His will. I’m so excited too!

So, I’m just a newbie in the being called to missions, but I couldn’t be more excited and thrilled that He finally told me this is what I’m to do with my life. 🙂
