Hi Team:

I’m so exited about this trip to India, and excited about meeting and experiencing this journey with all of you!

I was born in Baltimore, M.D. and after graduation I moved to Atlanta, GA to attend two of the major Fashion and Art schools here (Bauder College and American Intercontinental University).  I’ve been in Atlanta since 2000, and I love it!  I love all aspects of the arts. I’m currently self-employed; I started my own business in 2007 to God’s Glory, its called The Avenue for Artistry, LLC. The company’s mission is to help provide a visual outlet allowing inventive, and imaginative designers artistic abilities to be displayed. We produce, plan, and participate in events as an opportunity to stylistically showcase innovative members of the artistic community through diverse fashion and art. Its basically another mission field for me within our generation to reach the unreached with the love of Christ through fashion and art. Yah!

I will be graduating on May 1st from Faith Christian’s Center Faith School of Ministry-“Omega” class.  This 9-month process has been rewarding as well as interesting in many ways. As well as around December 08, I was officially granted the opportunity to be the steward over 620 The Gathering Campus Ministry (similar to Campus Crusade for Christ) within my church where we are currently serving college students at Kennesaw State University, Morehouse, Georgia State University, and Spelman.  Our mission is to reach this generation for Jesus Christ, teach them to glorify Him 24/7, and send each to win the world around them.  We just ended our Winter/Spring semester with a bang!  In seeking the Lord earlier this year on what he would have me do after graduation, provision was given to me.  God has been using me and teaching me in many ways not the least of which has been a call toward missions.  I’ve discovered that I have a real heart for young adults ages 18-29, outreach, and a love for those desiring to grow in Christ.  I have longed to minister in a place where people are aching with hunger for the gospel.

Majority of my family lives in Wilson, NC about an hour from Raleigh. I have 1 brother and 3 sisters that are all older than me by 10 years or more.  So yes, I’m the baby, but it seems like I’m the oldest at times:)

I love to laugh, and have a good time. Its part of the abundant life (John 10:10).  I enjoy hiking, running, swimming, bargain shopping at vintage or thrift shops, traveling, and being who God created me to be.  I dislike cold weather, Yep=that’s right I’m a summer baby.  Many always compliment me on my personality.  So I would agree I have a great one. Ha Ha…I also love my quiet time with God (being in his presence); I don’t know what I would do without it.  Last but def not least I love Jesus Christ; he’s my #1 LOVE and lover of my soul!

***My greatest desire for this trip is that we all be changed from the inside out.  That we experience God like never before!  That we are open to whatever God’s will is for each one of us individually and collectively as a team***

Along with Kenny L. we will be your leaders for the 2 month India trip and we can’t wait to meet you all within the next couple of weeks.  We are praying for each and every one of you.

With Christ’s Love,
AB

  1. Thanks, I’m really excited about finally graduating from Kilgore. I was actually at Oklahoma Christian yesterday ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m officially enrolled. I’m going back in two weeks for new student orientation and to register for classes.

The Avenue for Artistry sounds so cool! What a great idea. It’s an amazing thing when people are able to take whatever it is they love and use it to further the Kingdom.

    See you soon!
