Location Description:

India has 1 million square miles and the geography of India can be divided into three regions: the Himalayas, the Gangetic Plain and Peninsular India. The Himalayan Range is the northern most region and the tallest mountain range in the world. It has the 2nd and 3rd tallest peaks in the world, K2 and Kanchenjunga. The Gangetic Plain is located south of the Himalayas and is the middle region. The Gangetic Plain is some of the most productive farmland in India. South of the plains region lies peninsular India. The northern peninsula has a series of mountain ranges and plateaus. The Indian Peninsula is bordered by fertile seashore. The West Coast of the Peninsula also supports substantial populations of farmers and fishermen.

Housing:

In India you will live in a three story house in a district of New Delhi. There are local markets only a quick jeep ride or rickshaw ride away, where you can find cyber cafes, stores for most needed toiletries and clothing, and restaurants including Pizza Hut and many Indian restaurants. There is also a metro (much like a subway only above ground), which can take you all over Delhi. There is a common meeting room in the house which is also used as a dinning room. There are two kitchens with a gas burning stove and possibly a conventional oven. There is a full size refrigerator as well. Each floor has two bathrooms. The second floor is usually the floor for the girls, which has four bedrooms with bunk beds. Each bed does have a mattress but it is hard foam. The third floor is usually where the guys stay and has one bathroom. There are also two open roofs that can be used for meetings and to look out over the city.
